Pope John Paul II proposed a “culture of life” to counter the “culture of death.” In this video, Bishop René Henry Gracida discusses the growth of the culture of death and identifies the “cultural viruses” which have infiltrated our society, even the Catholic Church and Catholic hospitals, and promoted acceptance of moral evils under the theory of “proportionalism.” Pope Benedict, the successor to Pope John Paul II, called it a “Dictatorship of Relativism” to suit one’s feelings and desires. It is the mentality of Justice Anthony Kennedy (a Catholic) in his ruling in favor of same-sex marriage.
